We launch for a donation drive for cause that is close to our heart
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a donation drive for a cause that is close to our hearts. UVF is building a "Mental Health Room" in one of Lviv's children's homes called "Lyubystok." This room is being constructed to provide a space where children can receive visits from their legal representatives, family members, and caregivers. The establishment of this room aims to create an environment that facilitates individual and group work between caregivers and professionals such as psychologists, doctors, and educators.
Additionally, it will serve as a platform to educate family members on caring for children, taking into account their health condition, as well as psychological and physical development.
This initiative acknowledges the significance of mental health support and aims to empower both the children and their caregivers by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
The room will serve as a safe and welcoming environment, where children can openly express their emotions, concerns, and thoughts. Through individual and group sessions, they will have the chance to develop coping strategies, enhance their emotional intelligence, and build resilience. The involvement of psychologists, doctors, and educators ensures that the children receive comprehensive care, addressing both their mental and physical well-being.
Furthermore, the "Mental Health Room" will also provide a platform for educating family members on various aspects of child care. By understanding the unique needs of the child, considering their health condition, and recognizing the importance of their psychological and physical development, caregivers will be better equipped to provide appropriate support and care. This holistic approach aims to create a nurturing environment that promotes the overall well-being of the child.
The establishment of the "Mental Health Room" in "Lyubystok" sets a commendable example for other children's homes and institutions. It highlights the importance of prioritizing mental health and underscores the significance of collaboration between professionals and caregivers in the best interest of the child. We applaud the efforts of all those involved in making this initiative a reality. The "Mental Health Room" in "Lyubystok" will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of the children, their families, and their caregivers
